The Formech 686 is the medium size stand-alone machine for large draws of 646 x 620 x 325 mm. The Formech 686 is used for small and large productions and for large objects can also be used for piece production to form various plastics. The 686 from Formech is equipped with an extra stable and weighted table for lighting all kinds of applications.
The Pre-stretch function that the Formech 686 has as standard provides a more distributed plastic material thickness for deep molds and the auto-level function sends a signal to the user when the material is ready to form. The quartz heating elements ensure a very fast response that can be set with 6 independently adjustable zones. This provides a very precise heat control and setting for consistent productions with high definition in the materials. The Formech 686 is a vacuum forming machine that comes with an intuitive color touch screen interface control panel where also 20 programmable presets ensure that an ease-to-use machine can be used for different operators. This machine is therefore a very easy and user-friendly machine with which you can quickly and easily start production of various plastic products.
The Formech 508 FS and FMDH660 are also stand-alone machines of smaller and larger size:
5 “Color HMI / PLC Interface with memory function
Integrated Mitsubishi PLC / HMI with 5 “color touch screen control system with 20 programmable pre-sets.
Pre-Stretch function
The pre-stretch is a pre-stretch function for the plastic sheet that the user can pump into the heated thermoplastic sheet by means of air, creating an air ball. This prevents the material from becoming thinner in various places during deeper drafts due to the more evenly distributed plastic.
Auto-Level
Prevents sagging of material during the heating cycle and keeps an equal distance between confusing elements and the plate. The user is given an audible indication tone indicating that the material is ready to form.
Quartz Heaters with variable standby
The Quartz heating elements ensure a fast response of the heating and cooling of the elements. This ensures a quick and easy process for piece production and series production. This results in optimal efficiency in the production process and energy savings during use and breaks. The standby can be set to various modes for fast and slow productions.
6 independently adjustable heating zones
The 6 heating zones of the quartz elements provide fast heating with various temperature options on various zones for the challenging shapes and materials.
Power Table
Heavy tabletop with electric control by two buttons that do not separately activate the table control for safety reasons. This very easy to operate table top can also carry heavier tools made of, for example, milled aluminum.
Pre-Stretch
Pre-stretch functions ensure evenly distributed plastic production by pre-stretching the material. The warm air is blown into the sheet material to create a pre-stretched plastic sheet. In deeper drafts there will be a better distribution in thickness of the material.
Auto-Level
The Auto-Level function prevents sagging of large size and thick plates during the heating cycle. The Auto Level function maintains an evenly spaced distance between the plate and the heater when the user is also informed when the plate is hot enough to draw the shape.
Vacuum & Release
After molding, cooled air can be charged between the mold and the formed plastic. This helps the easy release of the plate and the model.
Vacuum Gauge
A visual indication of consistent vacuum pressure in Hg / bar. Dry vane pump 16m3 / hour Oil free and requires minimal maintenance

Reducing Windows
Reduce frames that narrow the molding area to use smaller material sheets. This reduces the use of plastic panels. Standard sizes and custom sizes.
Cooling Fan System
A system to allow the drawn sheet material to cool faster for a shorter production cycle.
Reel Feed system
Reel system for using material on a roll. This is suitable for Formech 450DT, 508DT, 508FS and 686.
Heating Pyrometer
The Heating Pyrometer is a sensor that provides a digital readout of the heat on the plate material. This accurate measurement is measured with infrared and transmitted to the machine. On larger models than the Formech 686 and 1572, the sensor also passes the information on to the heating elements.
Cooling Bolster
The Cooling Bolster is a water-cooled plate to directly cool the aluminum tools and to regulate the temperature. This generates a faster and more consistent production cycle.
Vacuum Flow Regulator
The Vacuum air flow regulator controls the vacuum flows exactly when they are required in simple or very complex models and applications.
Starter Pack of Plastic
A starter package of sheet material of various plastics (HIPS, ABS, PETG) specially made on the machine you purchase.
Spare parts kit
A package of parts that are easy to replace, such as sealing strips. elements, filter, clauses fuses.
Mobility with Castors
6 lockable wheels that make it easier to move the system to another room.
Vacuum Receiver Tank
A vacuum tank that ensures that a constant vacuum is stored for shorter production cycles and complex and thick materials.
