The large format vacuum forming machine of Formech the 2440 has a forming area of 2380 x 1160 mm with a depth of up to 600 mm. The vacuum forming machine 2440 is the largest machine in the formech series. The Formech 2440 is equipped with a 10 “touch screen control panel with the developed FCV (Formech Cycle View) program for ease of use remaining in an easy-to-use machine on large format and industrial machines. The Formech 2440 is equipped with quartz heaters in 48 different heating zones for a very fast response and accurate heating setting coupled with energy savings.
The Formech 2440 has a double 400 liter vacuum tank for direct and optimal vacuum response and provides a draw with excellent definition of the models in this size format. The 4 cooling fans provide rapid cooling after the thermoplastic plates are vacuumed, resulting in shorter production cycle times. The 10 “touchscreen display has the possibility to program pre-settings for 40 different settings in a name that you can set yourself. These memory presets can then be called up quickly and easily for any application.
Electric heating with pneumatic table and pneumatically supported clamps make this large industrial machine or large and complex work of large applications possible for a light production job for the different operators. The intuitive control system of the 2440 is very approachable and easy to operate with an operator of all levels.

Table Height Adjust
Adjusting the table height shortens the displacement of the table during the production cycle and thus shortens the production cycle.
Pre-Stretch
Pre-stretch functions ensure evenly distributed plastic production by pre-stretching the material. The warm air is blown into the sheet material to create a pre-stretched plastic sheet. In deeper drafts there will be a better distribution in thickness of the material.
Auto-Level
The Auto-Level function prevents sagging of large size and thick plates during the heating cycle. The Auto Level function maintains an evenly spaced distance between the plate and the heater when the user is also informed when the plate is hot enough to draw the shape.
Vacuum Receiver Tanks
Two vacuum storage tanks for direct vacuum which ensures specific materials, form complexes and shortened production cycle.

Reduce Windows

Heating pyrometer
The heating pyrometer is a sensor that provides a digital display of the heat on the plate material. This precise measurement is measured with infrared and transmitted to the machine. On models larger than the Formech 686 and 1572, the sensor also passes the information on to the heating elements.
Cooling bolster
The cooling pad is a water-cooled plate for direct cooling of the aluminum tools and for regulating the temperature. This creates a faster and more consistent production cycle.
Vacuum flow controller
The vacuum air flow controller regulates the vacuum flows exactly when they are needed in simple or very complex models and applications.
